	Coco Fusco est une performeuse interdisciplinaire de renommée internationale. Elle vit à New York où elle enseigne à l’université de Columbia. Ses travaux récents combinent performance et interactivité avec des internautes. Son dernier projet interroge le rôle du genre, des femmes dans les nouvelles technologies de torture utilisées par les forces armées américaines dans la guerre contre la terreur et plus particulièrement en direction des cultures musulmanes. Coco Fusco is an interdisciplinary artist and writer who began her career in 1988. Fusco has performed and curated throughout America and internationally, and currently is an Associate Professor of Visual Arts at Columbia University's School of the Arts. Her recent work combines electronic media and performance in several formats, including large scale projections, and live performances streamed to the internet, inviting audiences to chart live-chat interaction. 	Dans le cadre de la programmation F***MyBrain et à l’occasion de la sortie de son « Petit manuel de torture à l’usage des femmes soldats » paru aux éditions des Prairies Ordinaires, Coco Fusco viendra présenter son travail extrait de sa performance A Room of One's Own: Women and Power in the New America. Celle-ci explore les relations entre féminismes, race, genres, guerre et politique grâce à un diaporama relatant son enquête sur l’implication des femmes dans la guerre dans le contexte américain et son infiltration avec quelques autres dans un stage d’apprentissage pour devenir un bon interrogateur. Fusco's work explores the relationship between women and society, war, politics, race and feminism. She will present at the Palais de Tokyo excerpts of her recent work A Room of One's Own: Women and Power in the New America and her little handbook on torture that has just been translated into French.
