Née à Heerlen (Pays-Bas) en 1978
Diplômée de la Gerrit Rietveld Academy d’Amsterdam en 2002, Melanie  Bonajo a déjà été exposée par deux des plus grand galeristes d’Amsterdam - Van Zoetendaal et Fons Welters . A la galerie Gana-Beaubourg,  Melanie Bonajo nous présente sa série «Are all clichés true?»  exposée au prestigieux Musée Kruller Muller (De Hoge Veluwe/Pays-Bas) en juillet dernier. Melanie Bonajo a également participé à de nombreuses expositions collectives notamment au SMBA (Amsterdam), à la Foam Gallery (Amsterdam) ou encore à l’Institut Néerlandais (Paris).
Publiée dans Eye magazine, Foam magazine, Glu, Vice, Nuke, Dazed & Confused, Livraison…etc...ses collaborations s’étendent aussi bien au milieu de la mode( Bernard Willhelm, Cassette Playa, Andrea Crews…etc.…) qu’à celui de la musique (Kevin Blechdom, Sonic Youth, Coco Rosie, Planning to Rock, Kim Hiorthoy…etc…). Ses travaux photographiques ont également été l’objet de nombreux catalogues d’exposition et seront regroupés dans un livre/ rétrospective en Décembre 2007. Depuis 2004, Melanie Bonajo est la Directrice de Création de Capricious, magazine d’avant garde dédié à la photographie contemporaine.

Born in 1978 in Heerlen (The Netherlands)
In 1998, Melanie Bonajo moved to Amsterdam and entered the Gerrit Rietveld Academy where she majored in Photography and Fine Arts.Since then, she works as an artist, exhibiting her photographs in major art institutions such as the prestigious Kruller Muller Museum (De Hoge Veluwe ,NL), the SMBA (Amsterdam), the Foam Gallery (Amsterdam) or the Institut Neérlandais in Paris.
Exhibited in two of the leading Amsterdam galleries - Van Zoetendaal and Fons Welters - she is currently preparing a solo show at Fette Gallery (Los Angeles) for 2008.
In addition to numerous exhibition catalogues, a book showcasing a retrospective of her work will be released in December 2007.
Her work has been published in Eye magazine, Foam magazine, Glu,Vice, Nuke, Dazed & Confused, Livraison and many more.
Among her prestigious contributions, she collaborated with fashion designers ( Bernard Willhelm, Cassette Playa, Andrea Crews…etc…) and  musicians (Kevin Blechdom, Planning to Rock, Sonic Youth, Coco Rosie, Kim Hiorthoy). She also worked for Amsterdam agency Kessels Kramer.
Since 2004, she is the Creative Editor of the photo art magazine, Capricious.
